Cape Tribulation's most unique accommodation

Unique Daintree accommodation at Rainforest Hideaway

At Rainforest Hideaway we offer eco-accommodation in an owner built place. We have only two rooms in our B&B and are also booking agents for the Jungle Treehouse. Every morning our guests get treated to an exotic fruit breakfast on our back veranda, and it is not unusual for the cassowaries to join us. On the property we also have Thai massage, a small swimming hole in our creek, a sculpture trail, and a nine hole mini-golf course. We are off-grid, our water is from the rain and the creek, our electricity from a generator and solar panels, and the free Wifi is through satellite dish. No mobile signal here, perfect accommodation for disconnectionists!

Room 1075

bed and breakfast in the daintreeOnly two rooms in this B&B but numbers 1 and 2 would have been too boring so this room is nr. 1075. This room is in the main house with private toilet and shower, a queen size bed and a deck over looking the big fish pond.

Cabin 1092

Daintree accommodation in the rain forest

Our other room instead of nr.2 is cabin 1092. This one is a bit more private being next to the house, and has an open outdoor bathroom and a private trail with seating area behind the bungalow.

Getting to Cape Tribulation

The Great Barrier Reef Drive

We are located 140 km./ 2.5 hours north of Cairns and it is easy to get here now that the road is sealed all the way. The drive up here is a joy in itself; a very scenic drive now knows as the Great Barrier Reef Drive, hugging the coast line along the beaches and there is a cable ferry to cross the Daintree river. North of this river you enter the oldest rain forest in the world and there are several National Park boardwalks along the way to stop and explore this ancient eco-system.
